The Bermuda Triangle, Atlantic Ocean
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle, is an area in the North Atlantic Ocean of North America.
The triangle earned its deadly reputation due to the unexplained disappearances of 80 aircraft and 60 boats since 1975. The earliest suggestion of unusual disappearances in the Bermuda area appeared on September 17, 1950. Some ships were discovered completely abandoned for no apparent reason; others conveyed no distress signals and were never seen or heard from again. Theories range from suggestions of supernatural activity to the more logical hypotheses is that it’s down to magnetic compass variation or rogue waves. Today, visiting the area can be much more pleasant than you might think, with the sun-splashed islands of Turks south and the bays of Bermuda in the north.
Snake Island, Brazil
Ilha da Queimada Grande in Brazil is a breathtakingly beautiful island at first glance. Almost every Brazilian knows about the island, but most would never dream of going there. The island is infested with 2,000 to 4,000 critically endangered golden lancehead vipers, one of the deadliest snakes in the entire world. Queimada Grande is closed to the public to protect both people and the snake population, access is only available to the Brazilian Navy and selected researchers. Snake Island is abandoned, but people used to live there for a short period up until the late 1920s, according to locals, the lighthouse keeper and his family were killed by vipers. The folklore surrounding how the snakes made it to the island, like the story of pirates dropping snakes off there to protect their precious gold, but these are all local tales. The island turned into the deadly snake-inhabited place it is today around 11,000 years ago. The population of snakes on the Ilha da Queimada Grande has reduced by nearly 50 percent in the last 15 years.
Island of the Dead Dolls, Mexico
The Island of the Dolls is located in the south of the center of Mexico City. This is a small island with a sad background that was never intended to be a tourist destination. The island is known as Isla de las Munecas. The Island of the Dolls, originally owned by Don Julián Santana Barrera, is where he used to go to drink pulque after having sold his vegetables. One day, while exploring his land, he discovered the body of a young girl who had drowned in the nearby waters. Soon after, a doll which he assumed was the girl’s washed up on the shore. Out of respect for the girl, he hung it from a tree. Soon, after Don Julian started to feel the presence of the spirit of the girl. In an attempt to satisfy it, he started to hang more and more dolls from the trees. His offerings turned into an obsession. For five decades he continued to hang dolls, which he found in the trash or the canals’ waters, around the island. In 2001 Don Julian Santana was found drowned in the same area in which he believed the little girl had died. Since then, more and more tourists have visited the island to see the dolls and hang their own as a sign of respect for the girl and Don Julian himself.
Area 51, United States

Area 51 refers to a map location and, it is the popular name for the United States Air Force Base located within the Nevada Dessert, north of Las Vegas. What goes on inside this is extremely a secret. Area 51 was created during the Cold War between the US and the Soviet Union as support to the development and testing of experimental aircraft and weapons systems. Former President Barack Obama was the first President in the history of the United States to mention Area 51 in public, Obama mentioned the place while cracking a joke. The secrecy surrounding Area 51 has helped to plot many theories. Most famous is the claim that the site hosts an alien spacecraft and the bodies of its pilots. Some claim to have seen UFOs above or near the site, while some say they have been abducted by aliens, and even experimented on, before being returned to Earth. In 2019, a man drove through a security checkpoint near Mercury, Nevada, in an apparent attempt to enter the base. After an 8-mile vehicle pursuit by base security, the man exited his vehicle and was shot dead by security officers and Sheriff’s deputies after refusing to obey requests to halt. The government officials do not want you peering into Area 51. So do not trespass under any circumstances or arrests and heavy fines await you.
