DC’S Batman is a huge role that influenced many fans all around the world in several ways, portrayed from several angles from the past years. War for the Planet of Apes director, Matt Reeves’s Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson will be the most emotional Batman yet. Director Matt Reeves had two people on his Batman wishlist: Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult, who had previous superhero experience as Beast in X-Men. After much debate on social media, Pattinson was eventually cast as Batman a few weeks later. Moreover, Zoë Kravitz will be starred as Catwoman, where Colin Farrell as The Penguin, and Paul Dano as the Riddler. Also, it was rumored that Vanessa Hudgens was the new Catwoman as well. It was said that Pattinson’s character from the movie Good Time has been a huge influence on Reeves in selecting Pattinson as the Batman.
Last August, Reeves told fans at DC FanDome that the movie would concentrate on the early days of Burce Wayne when he was ‘very far from being perfect, where he was trying to figure out how to be Batman. Three comic books that inspired the movie have also been revealed (H/T ComicBook.com). They are Batman: The Long Halloween by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, Batman Ego and Other Tails by Darwyn Cooke, and Batman: Year One by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli. The Long Halloween is a detective story that features a wide array of villains, while Year One is an origin story for both Batman and Catwoman that involves corruption in the GCPD. Ego, meanwhile, sees Bruce try to retire as Batman, only for his consciousness to split between man and vigilante. Both sides of his psyche engage in a debate, and Bruce’s feelings over his failures come to light. These all seem very in line with what can be gleaned from the teaser trailer – a moody, psychological, and grounded detective tale.
Batman has been a consistently popular box-office draw for audiences, and the arrival of a new Batman starring the former Twilight star favors to draw a lot of excitement from the movie-going public. It is rumored to include a total of six villains. Whereas villains that are confirmed for the film are: The Riddler, Catwoman & The Penguin. Villains that are rumored to appear are Two-Face, Firefly, and Mad Hatter.
Actor Pattinson recently revealed that his version of Batman will be “radically different” from those that have come before, saying that he was very excited to have the opportunity to play “one of the major characters of the 20th century.
The most awaited movie teaser was released in August 2020 during virtual DC. The Batman release date has shifted around a lot. Recently, In an official press release, Warner Bros. has stated that the newest trailer for The Batman will premiere at DC FanDome on October 16, 2021. However, after more than a year of waiting for the teaser. After multiple delays in the production, the movies are expected to be premiered on 04th March 2022.
